Hallowheels: a Halloween costume contest which turns wheelchairs into assets. Enter the contest, raise much needed operating funds for CATS, have fun, be famous and earn a prize!
This is a fundraiser for Children’s Assistive Technology Service (CATS) which in past years, provided volunteer teams competing by creating dream-come-true Halloween costumes for children, ages 4-16 who depend on wheelchair mobility. This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will be doing it a bit differently! We are looking for families and children across Virginia to participate. Hallowheels 2020 will feature one of a kind costumes for children with disabilities, but designed and created by their families with some virtual help from CATS and our wonderful volunteer partners.
How can you help? Your sponsorship/donation will be used to cover the cost of framing materials for a family to create a costume incorporating their child’s wheelchair. Your donation will also provide prizes to be awarded to the children and their families. Photos of all the children in costumes will be published on our website and the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites.
